What They Say About Us ?
Tour in Siem Reap December 2006 by CHRISTINAIR TOURS
We recently spent four days in at Siem Reap Cambodia and had the services of Mr Vong as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the Anghor temples and the history and architecture of this very beautiful area. As well as this he was willing to answer all of our many questions about the culture in Cambodia and everyday life. He was good company and we were able to relax with him and share some laughs. I think sharing something of yourself is an important part of being a guide. There was lots to cover in a few days but Mr Vong was very willing to be flexible and bend the programme to what we wanted. There was so much to see and it was hard to leave our beautiful hotel, the Borei Anghor, which was a haven of peace and tranquility. The staff were helpful and efficient, the rooms were gorgeous and had marvellous views and we also loved the swimming pool after a hard day visiting temples. On our last day we changed the programme and visited the [tiny] land mine museum in Siem Reap. It is well worth a visit and has a small shop where you can support the excellent work they do by buying local produce. It also gives tourists an opportunity to donate some money to this very beautiful country and people who have experienced such difficulty. This visit was not on our itinery but our guide was happy to change plans despite the very poor road that we had to travel on.
We have very fond memories of Cambodia , Siem Reap will stay with us for always with a special place in our hearts.
Many thanks to the excellent tour company for all the marvellous organisation.
